Teaching Objective
The major is aimed to train chemical engineers to master the basic knowledge and related knowledge of chemical engineering and technology, the ability of analyzing and solving problems with the knowledge, the ability to adapting the society and international communication skills.

Internship and Career
The school has cooperated with many famous companies including Sinopec Group, China National Petroleum Corporation, China Chemical Group and China Sinochem Group etc. Every school students have the opportunity to make internship in these companies.

Sinopec Group
Each year the school sends 15-25 students to those appointed company to make practice or graduation project for 1 year.

Introduction of the Department
School of Chemical Engineering was known as department o f chemical engineering, as long as the history of Dalian University of Technology (DUT), established in 1949, which is the one of the most powerful and strongest schools in DUT. In 1984, with the cooperation of Sinopec Group, then Petroleum Chemical School was set. The faculty of chemical, environmental and biological science and technology was established in 2010, with the compound of the department of chemical engineering, the department of chemical technology, the department of materials, the department of fine chemicals and etc. the Chemical Engineering and Technology is the key provincial discipline and the first-level in Liaoning Province.

Facilities and Achievements
The school is equipped with the advanced teaching experimental center and platform. The school owns the national chemical engineering teaching center, key provincial lab: polymer science and engineering experimental center and petroleum chemical engineering and device experimental center. 

The applicants must hold a high school diploma, be in good health and over the age of 18, with a Chinese proficiency level of HSK5 or above (for art students HSK6 or above).
