Short-term Chinese Classes

Introduction
With remarkable expansion of the number of foreign students coming to the university, GDUT provides a wide range of Chinese language programs on various levels of learning and training on the main campus located in Dongfeng Road, in downtown Guangzhou. The teaching group consists of experienced and conscientious academic staffs. Students are expected to improve Chinese proficiency at the end of each program with a closer look into the tradition and custom, to communicate with native Chinese, and to obtain sufficient skills and knowledge in the areas of HSK Tests. In addition, special-designed course work tailored to the needs of certain students may also be provided and arranged. GDUT thus, with pride and confidence, invites you to share and support its strong commitment to the dual goals of offering access to Chinese language learning and training combined with academic quality.

Course Aims
To acquaint students with the essentials of Chinese language, including consonants, vowels, intonation, pronunciation, Chinese character writing, commonly used vocabulary and basic grammar.
To develop student's ability in listening, speaking, writing and translating, and prepare students both linguistically and culturally for daily contact with Chinese people. To promote the ability to successfully pass the HSK Test.

Schedule Example
Duration of study: 1 Month to 3 Months
Time of study: 4 hours per day and 5 days per week (Monday-Friday). Morning:8:30-12:00, Afternoon:13:30-16:30.

Rudimentary Class For foreign students who have never studied Chinese before To enable students to grasp basic skills of pinyin, tones; to grasp the common Chinese vocabulary and Chinese characters; to master the Chinese grammars; to enable them for their basic living, studying and social intercourse Premier Chinese Reading, Audio-Visual Chinese, Chinese Characters We also open some optional classes for students, such as: Chinese Painting, Chinese folk songs and music, Martial Arts etc.
HSK Test Training class for foreign students who have studied Chinese before To intensify the skills for HSK test, to help students pass the examination easily single item training for HSK
Tuition Fee
RMB 2,300 per month;
RMB 6,000 for 3 months

Abide by the laws of China, and observe all regulations of the university;
In good health, and aged between 12 and 65, demonstrating an ability to pursue Chinese language studies successfully;
Have received junior high school certificate or the equivalent.

1.  Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.  Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Certificate/Diploma of highest education
The certificate should be in English or Chinese, if not，it should be translated into English or Chinese and be notarized
