The spring semester will begin on Feb. 21st, 2011 and end on Jul. 8th, 2011.

Course Overview

The university offers flexible language courses. Enrollments are available in March and September during each academic year. Students can enroll in Elementary, Intermediate, or Advanced Courses according to their proficiency level of Chinese. Small classes or individual teaching are available upon request.

The university offers an excellent language learning environment. The required courses include Chinese Listening Comprehension, Intensive Reading, Extensive Reading, Spoken Chinese, Chinese Culture,

and HSK Training and so on. The elective courses include Chinese Traditional Painting, Chinese Brush Calligraphy and Shadowboxing.

Developing students' proficiency of Chinese is our aim. A lot of cultural and language practice activities are arranged during the semester, such as visiting places of interest in Guilin, visiting ethnic dwellings and watching ethnic dancing and singing.

Well behaved, healthy, and willing to abide by the Law of the People's Republic of China and the Rules and Regulations of Guangxi Normal University.
Note: New students are given a placement test, both oral and written, at the beginning of a new semester, and they will be placed in classes according to their respective level.
