There are A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H, altogether 8 levels of Chinese Learning courses in HEU, in which every level being more progressive than another, each being a seperate unit. In the process of teaching, the teachers not only lay stress on the intensifying communicative competence and training reading skills, and also the promoting the students' comprehensive Chinese ability. The students will attend different classes according to their demand and Chinese ability.

Curricula Introduction
Compulsory courses: Comprehensive Chinese, Chinese Listening, Chinese reading, Chinese writing, Chinese character reading and writing, Chinese conversation, etc.
Elective courses: HSK guidance(elementary & intermediate advanced), modern Chinese pronunciation, economic and trade newspapers reading, business spoken Chinese, Guzheng (zither), Tai Chi, etc.

Length of Schooling
One semester, which needs to complete the task of studying for 18 weeks, including 17 teaching weeks, a week for exams.
Spring Semester: from early March to early July
