International Economy and Business

The Master of International Economy and Business Program at Nankai University is designed to prepare students to be economic analysts in the field of international economic research and specialists of international business activities in the private or public sector.

Each Student in this program must complete 35 credits of course work (15 credits of compulsory courses, 20 credits of elective courses) and a thesis. Students spend two or three semesters taking required courses. The last semester, the student writes an exit paper. While writing the exit paper, the student works closely with a professor who guides the project, helping the student gain in-depth knowledge about the chosen subject and experience in carrying out a research project. From time to time, these exit paper develop into published articles.

Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Intermediate International Economics, Applied Statistics and Econometrics, Monetary and Financial Studies

Elective Courses:

International Trade Practice, International Settlements, International Marketing, International market analysis, International Economic Law, International Trade in Services, The company's financial management, International financial markets, WTO Rules and Case, Introduction to China's Economy

Free Courses:

Chinese Language -Listening and Speaking, Chinese Language- Writing

1. In the age bracket of 22-40
2. Be in good health
3. Holding Bachlor's Degree or equivelance
4. Holding certificate of HSK Level 6 or above
5. Passing the major test and oral Chinese interview held by the applied department
6. Willing to abide by chinese laws, regulations and the school discipline, and respect the chinese people, customs and habits

1.  Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.  Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Bachelor's degree diploma
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.  Transcript of undergraduate school

5.  HSK Certificate (No need for English-taught program)
Level 3 or above

6.  Two recommendation letters
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.

7.  Study plan
Including study purpose, research interest and research plan in brief.
