1. Introduction

Biomedical engineering is a branch of engineering in which knowledge and skills are developed and applied to define and solve problems in biology and medicine. The biomedical engineer is a health care professional, a group which includes physicians, nurses, and technicians. Biomedical engineers may be called upon to design medical devices like pacemakers, coronary stents, or prosthetics hips & knees.

2. Teaching Objectives

Graduates will apply the theories and concepts of biology, mathematics,physical science and engineering science essential to being a successful biomedical engineer.

Graduates will apply practical and technical skills required for biomedical engineering practice.

Graduates will work and communicate effectively with all of the people around them.

Graduates will exercise their professional responsibilities towards society.

Graduates will apply design principles to open-ended problems subject to technical, practical and societal constraints.

3. Duration

2.5 years (Note: It may vary from 2 to 4 years)

4. Internship

Practice, course design, surveying and mapping practice, graduation practice, graduation design.

5. Degree Awarded

Qualified student will be granted Master Degree of Biomedical Engineering by Northeastern University

4. Bachelor's degree diploma

Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.

5. Letter of recommendation

From professor or associate professor or equivalents

6. Undergraduate school transcript
