Program Feature
The university offers one-year Chinese language study for free to those who apply for degree program in SMU. Students should pay the first year tuition, and for the last year study will be free of charge.

Enrollment:
Shanghai Maritime University reserves the right to admit foreign students by written test or interview.
The enrollment result will be issued at the beginning of July, 2010. The offer package will be delivered after that.

Academy
The course will be taught in Foreign Language College.

1.Applicant should be 18 or above
2.Be in good health condition
3.Applicant should hold high school graduation or equivalent to a Chinese high school graduate

1.Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.Graduation certificate of high school
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.Academic transcript of high school

5.HSK Certificate (No need for English-taught program)
Level 6 or above

6.Two recommendation letters(optional)
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.
