1. Training Object
Our major aims at culturing those talents who walk firmly in the right socialistic direction, who master a deep foundation for both theory and method of economics and management, and who adapt to the new environment of China's opening and reform. In accordance with our requirements, students should systematically learn the theory framework of world economics, international economics, and history of world economics, modern international trade and international investment. They also should have knowledge of the developing trend of the related fields home and abroad, and especially keep an eye out for modern trends in international trade and development of the foreign direct investment. Our major requires the students to be equipped with a good analytical and practical ability, an extensive and wide knowledge, and a innovative courage. Our students should work hard on Marxism-Leninism, Maoism and Deng Xiaoping Theory and insist on the CPC's basic line. While being patriotic, disciplinary and diligent, they have a passion for career and they are ready to devote to the socialist modernization. After the whole training project, the students' basic theory and professional knowledge will have been firmly founded. With at least one foreign language as a basic technique, our students will command certain scientific research capability, which apply to not only the dissertation but also their following career job.

The training period is two and a half year.

3) In order to improve the graduate student's academic research level, demand to participate in 3 academic discussions or speak class discussion 4 times during majoring in, and publish one thesis in core periodical the school appoints.

5. Scientific research and Academic dissertation work
5.1. Opening report.
(1) Selected title: Degree the research subjects of thesis should with the getting more square originally to front study correlated with or from with us theoretical question or policy problems important of relevant national economy.
(2) The essential condition of opening: Should get all credit about your field, submit above 5000 words report of r literature reading
(3) The requirements for opening speech: Make the opening during the second term of second grade, the content includes meaning of the selected title, domestic and international research current situation, subject problem and content, innovation and characteristic, difficult point, research approach progress, expectancy achievement of research, the literature of Chinese and foreign language quoted is no less than 30, among them the literature of foreign language is no less than 10.
(4) The evaluation of the opening speech: Organizing the public report about your field, and appraised by grope of tutor in this field.
5.2. Middle period for checking. For guarantee thesis subject researches go on according to progress, examined by tutor group to check the progress if the deviation is relatively great, will warn.
5.3. Thesis oral defense.
(1) Precondition: Finish academic dissertation, public (including employing formally) a thesis and after instructed by the teacher and approval, can apply for the thesis and reply in advance.
(2) Reply in advance: Reply in advance is organized by tutor's group, if agree, to raise the idea and the suggestion. Submit communication to evaluate. If disagree, revise or rewrite according to the opinion of replying in advance.
(3) Communication evaluates and replies: Send 5 counterpart expert ("whether pair blind" evaluation expert including) communication evaluate, if all expert agree reply, revise the thesis according to the expert opinion, and organize the reply. If has not passed and replied, has dealt with according to the regulation of the graduate student department.
