Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (Economic and Trade Direction)

Major Introduction
The major Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (Economic and Trade Direction) was founded in 2000. The cultivation objective is to stand out the character that is business Chinese knowledge and its practice ability. Attending this course, the foreign students can become senior professionals with Chinese and English languages proficiency to manage economic and trade business.

Chinese Ability Objective
Help the student to pass HSK level-8 exam, to be able to communicate and translate with business Chinese fluently, to read texts and books in economic and trade field, to be able to write business relevant content report etc.

Business Ability Objective
Help the student to be able to know basic economics and management theory, Chinese economic development status, economic policy and law; learn the basic method to collect economic information and analyze economic phenomenon.

Main Courses
Introduction to Modern Chinese, Chinese phonetics, Chinese lexics, Modern Chinese Grammar, Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature, Chinese Literature History, Business Chinese, Translation Introduction, Business Translation

Experienced Teachers
There are more than 20 teachers with Doctor Degree in Chinese language major, including 4 professors and 12 vice professors. There are 19  teachers with many years teaching experience in teaching Chinese as a foreign language major and have teaching qualification certificate.

Cultivation Method
1 Teaching course, communication practice, ask & answer after class.
2 Students read references, write after-reading report or thesis
3 Students will attend social activities and International Cultural Day(make performance in Chinese ) organized by school.
4 Students finish graduate thesis writing under the guide of professors.

Application period
April 1st to June 30th , 2010 (Apply through internet and mail the application materials before June 30th, 2010, date is subject to the local mail stamp chop)

Admission Plan
15 students

1. (Applicants should be between the) age of 18 to 45
2.High school diploma or equivalent or above.
3. HSK Level 6
4.Be in good health and foreigners

1.  Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.  Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Graduation certificate of high school
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.   Academic transcript of high school

5.Photocopy of awards certificate
