Intensive Chinese Training Program(1 Semester)

Program Overview

The Intensive Chinese Language Program is designed for the international students who need to improve their Chinese language proficiency in a short period of time. The program focuses on improving student’s comprehensive Chinese knowledge and skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. With the completion of this one-year program, students should have a good command of using Chinese language to conduct deeper communication and discussion, as well as achieving a greater proficiency of Chinese language than that of others to successfully engage in major studies.

Main Courses and Course Load

30 teaching hours per week; Main modules include:

Compulsory: Basic Comprehensive Chinese (Listening, Reading & Writing, Conversation; Improved Comprehensive Chinese (Listening, Conversation, etc. ); Academic Chinese

Optional: Basic/Intermediate Scientific Chinese; Basic / Intermediate IT Chinese; HSK Preparation; Chinese Movie Appreciation; Chinese Songs; Chinese Wushu or Calligraphy, etc.

Program Duration and Semesters

The Intensive Chinese Language Program is a one-year program, consists of two semesters. The Fall semester starts from early September while the Spring semester starts from the end of February. The exact dates subject to the admission notice.

Program Start Date

The program will be held only with 15 students or above, the Autumn semester starts on the 1st of September, and the Spring semester starts in late February each year.

Tuition Fee

RMB 9,800 per semester

Availability

A: The Intensive Chinese Program is applicable to all international students;
B: All applicants without HSK result who apply for degree program are required to attend this program prior to their degree studies.
