Introduction

Wuhan University of Technology has established MBA International Education Center, and is the appointed teaching unit of MBA program by China Scholarship Council. All the teachers possess oversea academic backgrounds in Europe and USA. Meanwhile, some famous professors from top universities and CEOs from acknowledged companies all over the world will be invited to give lectures timely. Students will have opportunities to intern at these well-known companies and attend international conference.

Teaching Objective

The Master of Business Administration Degree for foreign students aims to train high-level and specialized personnel with a good command of basic theories and systematic professional knowledge, and understanding of the frontier trends in the profession in all kinds of enterprises and various areas, including marketing management, financial management, strategy management, production management, technological innovation management, human resources management, and investment decision management.

Study Period and Credit

Generally the Master of Business Administration Degree is 2-3 year postgraduate program. The period for academic courses study is usually one and half years, and the total credits are no less than 36.

Curriculum

Chinese, Research Methods of Management, Advanced Management, Management Economics, Marketing Management, Strategic Management for Enterprises, Introduction to China, Management Information System, China: Culture& Enterprises, Accounting, Organizational Behavior, Project Management, Development and Management of Human Resources, E-commerce and web marketing, International Trade and Finance, etc..

Career

During the school years, foreign students should investigate at least three units (enterprises, financial units and departments of government, etc.). Before writing thesis, students should carry out investigation on the areas of their selected topics. Postgraduates should take part in the activities organized by their advisers, e.g. enterprise diagnosis, area development, industrial development consultation, etc. The credits of practical part are 45-54.

Scientific Research and Thesis

During the school years, all the students should actively write and put forward papers on their fields or their related fields in Chinese or foreign academic publications or academic conferences, and should also take active part in research tasks undertaken by their advisers.

The topic of master's degree thesis should be of theoretic significance or important application prospects. The University encourages the international students to make research and finish the thesis relating with the actual situation of their home countries.

Introduction of Department

School of Management is founded in 1964, is one of the earliest departments that starts the domestic management science and engineering disciplines. Within its two broad subject disciplines of Economics and Management, the School has one first-level discipline doctor station, 7 second-level discipline doctor stations,2 first-level discipline master stations, 20 second-level discipline master stations, all with the right to award Masters, PhD and post-doctoral qualifications. It has 2 provincial key first-level disciplines.
