MBBS in English (6 years)

The program was held formerly by Henan Medical University, before it is merged into Zhengzhou University. It has lasted for more than 10 years from 1998. And, majority of the graduates are working in their countries as a licensed Doctor.

Study duration

6 years (depending on the needed credits of the place where the student would work as a Doctor in), including 2 year of internship in hospital

Training purpose

This program is to cultivate the advanced specialized personnel with basic technique of basic medicine, clinical medicine theory and preventive medicine, who can undertake the medical treatment, preventative medicine and medical research in the departments of medical care and research.

Major Courses

The main courses of the specialty are Anthroponomy, Histoembryology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Preventive Medicine, Microbiology and Immunology, and Diagnostics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics-gynecology and Pediatrics, etc.

Note: The first semester of the 6-year clinical medicine specialty is for the basic preparatory courses, including Survey of China, Mathematics, Physics, and Fundamental Chemistry.

Tuition fee

6-year clinical medicine (first year to fourth year): 26000 Yuan/year

Internship fee (the fifth and sixth year): 15000 Yuan/year

Internship Information

Students can choose to do the internship/training in China, their home country or any other country. If international students would like to do the internship in China, ZZU would help student choose a hospital from the 5 affiliated hospitals. And, students have to take the final examination on Theory Test and Clinical Evaluation in ZZU.

1.  Between 18-22, be good in condition.

2.  With an educational background equal to high school graduation in China or have passed Grade Twelve (10+2)/FSc./A Level/WAEC or equivalent.

3.  Come from the English-speaking countries, or IELTS score reaches 6.0 or TOEFL score reaches 82 (or equivalence).

1.   Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number & expiration date and name included.

2.   Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.   Graduation certificate of high school
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.   Academic transcript of high school

5.   Certificate of HSK
Certificate of HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test)

6.   Two teachers' recommendation letters

7.   Certification of no criminal record

8.   Health certificate
Photocopy of notarized foreigner physical examination record (for durations of study over 6 months)
