Known as "the cradle of iron and steel engineers”, USTB has been ranked among the most influential key national universities sponsored by the Chinese MOE. The university is renowned for its English-medium engineering courses, such as bachelor’s Materials Science and Engineering, master’s Management Science and Engineering, Information and Telecommunication Engineering. Other English-taught courses are also available,for instance, master’s MBA and Enterprise Management. In addition, USTB focuses on international cooperation, establishing partnership with nearly 90 foreign universities from different countries and regions.
